Sarasota: Monday, February 20, 2017.

Everything is on schedule as Orioles Spring Training continues to run like a fine-tuned machine. Everyone seems to be in good spirits, but, players had to start the day with a smile because it’s photo day. Photo Day is when the “official” photos are taken for various uses including programs, yearbooks media guides and TV bios etc. throughout the year. This activity consumed most of the morning, so they drilled a little later.

There are no new acquisitions to report and no new injuries were announced. Players are looking forward to the intrasquad scrimmages. Adam Jones has done his usual excellent job of keeping everyone “loose.” Here he is shown as a catcher practicing stopping pitches in the dirt with coach Don Werner. He’s so good he doesn’t need to wear a chest protector or helmet.

Yes, I caught you!
