Jon Schoop hit two home runs and drove in three of the Orioles six runs. He is the Orioles Hangout Player of the night.

Starting Pitcher

Kevin Gausman lasted six and two-thirds innings. he allowed four runs, walked one and struck out five.

Relief Pitching

Donnie Hart hit a batter and walked a batter. In a third of an inning of work.

Darren O’Day walked a batter and gave up a triple for a run. More on that triple later.

Brad Brach was beautiful. Man.

Hitting

Jon Schoop and Chris Davis and Seth Smith all hit solo homers. Schoop also hit a two-run.

Fielding

Adam Jones played what many felt was a catchable ball into a triple that put the Orioles down by two. He, of course, redeemed himself with tenth inning heroics. Some folks thought he should not have tagged up on Manny Machado’s long out. It was a difference maker in the end.

Hangout Night

Well attended and wild, wacky and full of fun once again.

Michael Williams
Michael Williams has been an Orioles fan since the sixties when his family moved from Reading Pa to York Pa. Also, the Phillies and 1964. His Grandfather got the Chef Boyardee box seats and Mike was hooked. Brooks Robinson calls him not a fan, but a friend. He has been a member of the Orioles Hangout since early in the New Millennium and Managing Editor since 2011. Or so it seems. He lives in Harrisburg PA, down by the river. Not currently in a van.
