The Orioles split a double header with the Rays winning 6-3 in the first game before losing 10-3 in the nightcap.

David Hess made his major league debut and picked up the win, giving up three runs on six hits while striking out three over six innings of work in game one. Jonathon Schoop hit two home runs and Manny Machado one to spark the offense.

In game two, the Orioles bullpen allowed six runs in three and a third inning to take a close game into a blowout. Alex Cobb dropped to 0-5 with the Orioles.
