Adam Jones has been on fire. He homered. It was a first inning solo shot. His three for five performance earns him the Orioles Hangout player of the game.

Starting Pitching

Kevin Gausman fell to 3-and-5 after allowing five runs on nine hits and nne strikeouts over five and a third innings. An unearned run did not help his cause.

Hitting

  • Adam Jones continues to be torrid at the plate with his 3-for-5 performance.
  • Manny Machado homered for the eighteenth time this season.  Both Jon Schoop and Danny Valencia doubled.

Other Pitching

  • Miguel Castro pitched one and two thirds innings without score. His ERA is down to 2.86 for the season.
  • Mychal Givens was pounded for two runs.

Fielding

The outfield defense was horrendous. All the defense was horrible. This is not Orioles Baseball.
