Chris Davis homers, but O’s fall 10-1 to Twins

Alex Cobb pitched poorly again. Five runs, four earned in five innings. The Orioles broke up the shutout only in the ninth.

Cobb threw 96 pitches with 69 strikes. He gave up two home runs.

Adam Jones went 1-for-3, a double. Jon Schoop singled twice.
Manny Machado celebrated his ALL STAR selection with a two for thee game. One was a double. With none on and two out, Chris Davis decided to break up the shutout with a solo home run. He struck out twice and is batting .157 at the All Star break.

Paul Fry was tired of hearing all the early praise so he gave up four runs in two thirds of an inning. Ryan Meisinger allowed two of them on the homer when he replaced him for a third of an inning.

Miguel Castro and Brad Brach had clean innings of work.
