Minor League Game Summaries 7/6


Asher Wojciechowski pitched for seven innings allowing three hits and no runs with 12 strikeouts guiding Norfolk to a 1 to 0 victory.  This phenomenal performance elects him as Orioles Minor League Player of the Night.

Norfolk Tides (45 – 40) Won 1 to 0 – Triple-A

Bowie Baysox (37 – 49) Lost 11 to 0 – Double-A

  • Ryan Mountcastle went 1-for-4 with a double and is now batting .312 on the season.
  • Keegan Akin walked four, allowed as many runs in his groin injury return of only two innings.

Frederick Keys (38 – 47) Lost 4 to 3 – Class A Advanced

Delmarva Shorebirds (44 – 39) Won 9 to 3 – Class A

  • Jhon Peluffo allowed a run in five and two thirds innings. He struck out three.
  • First round compensation selection Cadyn Grenier went 2-for-4 with a triple.

Aberdeen IronBirds (11 – 10) Won 5 to 4 – Class A Short Season

GCL Orioles (6 – 10) Won 8 to 2 – Rookie

  • John Ham went 2-for-4 with a double.
  • Jake Zebron pitched 5.1 innings with three Ks and no runs.

Michael Williams has been an Orioles fan since the sixties when his family moved from Reading Pa to York Pa. Also, the Phillies and 1964. His Grandfather got the Chef Boyardee box seats and Mike was hooked. Brooks Robinson calls him not a fan, but a friend.
