Andrew Cashner pitched long enough to get the win. The Orioles showed some Veteran Lumber. The bullpen held. Mostly.

Andrew Cashner pitched seven strong innings allowing only two Met runs. He struck out three, walked two and allowed five hits. He earned his fourth win in his first Oriole season after having been signed as their big Free Agent.

Mark Trumbo hit a Roy Firestone Special sacrifice fly, eschewing the crooked number inning early. Adam Jones slammed a solo home run and Chris Davis later followed with his own. Tim Beckham hit one of the two RBI variety. Renato Nunez had a two for three night including a walk. He drove in a run. Adam Jones doubled as well and Chris Davis singled. New center fielder Cedric Mullins doubled.

Paul Fry got the hold and Mychal Givens the save. Miguel Castro allowed a run.

Miguel Castro erred and the infield made a very nice double play.
