MINOR LEAGUE GAME SUMMARIES FOR 8/28

Adam Hall extended his hitting streak to 19 games with a 4 for 5 game in which he scored two runs, hit a triple and stole a base. He is the Orioles Hangout MiLB Player of the Day.

NORFOLK TIDES (68-65) LOST 5-2 TO GWINNETT – AAA
Garabez Rosa went 3 for 4 with a double, 1 run scored, 1 RBI and a strike out.

BOWIE BAYSOX (64-68) LOST 7-3 TO AKRON – AA
Erick Salcedo went 2 for 4 with 2 runs scored and 2 strike outs.

FREDERICK KEYS (62-70) LOST 3-2 TO POTOMAC – A (ADV.)
Daniel Fajardo went 2 for 4 with 1 RBI.

DELMARVA SHOREBIRDS (65-63) LOST 4-2 TO HICKORY – A (LOW)
Cadyn Grenier went 2 for 4.

ABERDEEN IRONBIRDS (34-34) WON 10-1 OVER TRI-CITY – A (SHORT)
Nick Horvath went 2 for 4 with 2 homeruns, 2 runs scored, 4 RBI, a walk and a strike out.
Gray Fenter earned the win with 6.0 innings pitched. He gave up 1 run on 2 hits with 4 strikeouts and no walks.

Michael Williams
Michael Williams has been an Orioles fan since the sixties when his family moved from Reading Pa to York Pa. Also, the Phillies and 1964. His Grandfather got the Chef Boyardee box seats and Mike was hooked. Brooks Robinson calls him not a fan, but a friend. He has been a member of the Orioles Hangout since early in the New Millennium and Managing Editor since 2011. Or so it seems. He lives in Harrisburg PA, down by the river. Not currently in a van.
