It took a torrential downpour to stop Frederick Keys LHP Zac Lowther as he pitched 5.0 innings of scoreless baseball before the game was suspended.  Surrendering just one hit to Myrtle Beach, Lowther struck out eight.  He is the Orioles Hangout MiLB Player of the Day.

NORFOLK TIDES (68-70) LOST Game 12-9 TO DURHAM – AAA

  • Anthony Santander went 2 for 4 with a double, a homerun, 2 runs scored, 2 RBI and a walk.

 

BOWIE BAYSOX (66-70) LOST 6-3 TO ALTOONA – AA

  • Yusniel Diaz went 3 for 4 with a double, 1 run scored and was caught stealing.

 

FREDERICK KEYS (63-71) GAME 1 WAS SUSPENDED IN 5TH INNING WITH THE SCORE 0-0 AND GAME 2 WAS CANCELLED DUE TO RAIN WITH MYRTLE BEACH – A (ADV.)

 

DELMARVA SHOREBIRDS (67-65) LOST 8-7 TO LAKEWOOD – A (LOW)

  • Branden Becker went 3 for 4 with 2 runs scored, 1 RBI, a walk and a strikeout.

 

ABERDEEN IRONBIRDS (37-36) LOST 2-0 TO HUDSON VALLEY – A (SHORT)

  • Cody Roberts went 1 for 3.

Michael Williams has been an Orioles fan since the sixties when his family moved from Reading Pa to York Pa. Also, the Phillies and 1964. His Grandfather got the Chef Boyardee box seats and Mike was hooked. Brooks Robinson calls him not a fan, but a friend.
