Orioles Thump Yankees 7-5

First winning series of 2019. Yankee fans are already rioting.

Starting Pitching

Dylan Bundy walks five and strikes out seven instead of allowing homers. He gave up the tree runs he left on base when he exited in the fourth inning.

Other Pitching

John Means takes over for the win. He pitched three and a third innings.  He allowed five hits including a home run to allow an earned run on his record.  The left hander struck out five Yankees and walked only one.

Paul Fry saves the day relieving  Mychal Givens, who pitched the eighth and two outs of the ninth.

Hitting Highlights

Orioles homer three times. Renato Nunez drove in three in the first inning. Trey Mancini  soled to dead center. Joey Rickard hit a Yankee right porcher.

Dwight Smith Jr. (given up on by the Blue Jays) doubled again and drove a run in with a single.

Fielding Exploits

Michael Williams
Michael Williams has been an Orioles fan since the sixties when his family moved from Reading Pa to York Pa. Also, the Phillies and 1964. His Grandfather got the Chef Boyardee box seats and Mike was hooked. Brooks Robinson calls him not a fan, but a friend. He has been a member of the Orioles Hangout since early in the New Millennium and Managing Editor since 2011. Or so it seems. He lives in Harrisburg PA, down by the river. Not currently in a van.
