What started off as a feel good day sadly went the other way. A nice start by Alex Cobb turn tragic for a less than sell out Camden Yards opener. Cobb allowed two solo homers. The Orioles went quietly through most of the latter innings.

Starter
Alex Cobb went five and two thirds innings. He struck out four and allowed five hits. Cobb walked one.

Other Pitching
Must we? Mike Wright, just awful. He gave up three and the lead. John Means pitched scoreless. Mychal Givens left two on for Miguel Castro – Who cleared the bases serving up a Luke Voit homer.

Hitting
Jonathan Villar homered to lead off the day. He singled as well. Renato Nunez had two singles. So did Joe Rickard. Dwight Smith doubled. Hanser Alberto pinch singled for Chris Davis off of Zack Britton.

Fielding

A double play and a pick off.
