Bats come alive in 12-4 win over A’s

The Orioles set season high in runs (12) and hits (15) as the stuck it to the A’s 12-4.

Starter

Andrew Cashner battled through 5.1 IP, allowing four runs, three earned on nine hits but picked up the win thanks to the breakout offense.

Other Pitchers

For the first time this season the bullpen did not allow an earned run as Jimmy Yacobonis (2 IP), Mychal Givens (0.2 but pitched out of load bases one out jam Yacobonis got into), and Nate Karns (perfect 9th) tossed 3.2 of shutout relief.

Hitting

Cedric Mullins broke out of an early slump with a 2-for-2, two triples night that included a sacrifice fly and sacrifice bunt. He drove in three.

Richie Martin broke out as well going 3-for-4 with a triple.

Trey Mancini went 3-for-3 with his 5th homer of the season while working two walks while Jonathan Villar continues his hot start going 2-for-5 with a long home run to center while driving in four.

Chris Davis
 was 0-for-5 today and set the all time record for hitless at bats.
