Grayson Rodriguez gave up 1 run on 2 hits with 1 walk, 8 strikeouts and 1 wild pitch over 7.0 innings pitched in the Shorebirds’ win over Hagerstown.  He threw 100 pitches (64 strikes) in winning his 6th game of the season.  He is the Orioles Hangout MiLB Player of the Day.

NORFOLK TIDES (22-26) WON 9-7 AT GWINNETT – AAA

  • Jace Peterson went 3 for 5 with 2 runs scored, 1 double and 2 RBI.
  • Keegan Akin gave up 1 run on 5 hits with 3 walks, 8 strikeouts and 1 hit batter over 5.0 innings pitched.  The win improved his record to 3-2 on the year.

BOWIE BAYSOX (19-30) LOST 4-1 AT ERIE – AA

  • Martin Cervenka went 2 for 4 with 1 RBI and 1 stolen base.
  • Alex Wells gave up no runs and 4 hits with no walks and 6 strikeouts over 7.0 innings pitched.  His quality start resulted in a no-decision.

FREDERICK KEYS (25-24) LOST 6-2 AT POTOMAC – A (ADV.)

  • Zach Jarrett went 2 for 4 with 1 run scored and 1 strikeout.
  • Michael Baumann gave up no runs on 4 hits with 1 walk and 6 strikeouts over 6.0 innings pitched.  His quality start resulted in a no decision.

DELMARVA SHOREBIRDS (39-11) WON 2-1 OVER HAGERSTOWN – A (LOW)

  • Will Robertson went 3 for 4 with 1 RBI.
  • Tyler Joyner earned the save, his 5th, by giving up 1 hit and striking out 1 over 2.0 scoreless innings of relief.
