Hector Guance gave up 1 run on 4 hits while walking 1, striking out 2 and allowing 1 homerun over 6.0 innings pitched in Delmarva’s win over Hagerstown.  The quality start and win improved his record to 3-2.  He is the Orioles Hangout MiLB Player of the Day.

NORFOLK TIDES (26-34) LOST 3-2 IN 10 INNINGS AT COLUMBUS – AAA

  • Austin Hays went 2 for 5 with 1 run scored, 1 double and 1 strikeout.
  • Josh Rogers gave up 2 runs on 7 hits with 1 walk, 2 strikeouts and 2 homeruns allowed over 6.0 innings pitched.  The quality start earned him a no-decision. 

BOWIE BAYSOX (23-37) WON 6-5 AT PORTLAND – AA

  • Mason McCoy went 3 for 5 with 1 double and 1 RBI.
  • Zac Lowther gave up 5 runs, 4 earned, on 4 hits with 5 walks, 4 strikeouts and 2 homeruns allowed over 5.0 innings pitched.  The win improved his record to 5-4.

FREDERICK KEYS (28-32) LOST 4-0 AT DOWN EAST – A (ADV.)

  • Zach Jarrett went 1 for 4 with 1 double and 3 strikeouts..
  • Brenan Hanifee gave up 2 runs, 1 earned, on 6 hits with 3 walks, 2 strikeouts and 1 homerun allowed over 6.0 innings pitched.  The loss dropped his record to 4-5.

DELMARVA SHOREBIRDS (46-15) WON 6-1 OVER HAGERSTOWN – A (LOW)

  • JC Encarnacion went 2 for 3 with 1 run scored and 1 double.  He was also hit by a pitch.
  • Zach Matson gave up no runs and 2 hits with 1 walk and 6 strikeouts over 3.0 innings of relief.  He earned the save, his 4th.
