Dean Kremer allowed 4 hits while walking 3 and striking out 6 over 6.0 scoreless innings pitched in Bowie’s win at Richmond.  He faced 24 batters and needed 98 pitches (59 strikes) to get through the 6.0 innings.  Kremer is now 7-4 on the season.  He is the Orioles Hangout MiLB Player of the Day.

NORFOLK TIDES (39-63) LOST 10-5 AT ROCHESTER – AAA

  • Christopher Bostick went 2 for 4 with 1 run scored, 1 double, 1 RBI and 2 strikeouts.
  • Chandler Shepherd gave up 8 runs, 6 earned, on 13 hits with 2 walks and 7 strikeouts over 5.0 innings pitched.  He fell to 0-9 on the year with the loss.

BOWIE BAYSOX (56-45) WON 8-1 AT RICHMOND – AA

  • Yusniel Diaz went 2 for 5 with 1 run scored, 2 doubles, 3 RBI and 1 strikeout.
  • Luis Gonzalez pitched 1.0 clean inning of relief.  

FREDERICK KEYS (40-61) LOST 6-5 IN 10 INNINGS TO MYRTLE BEACH – A (ADV.)

  • Cadyn Grenier went 2 for 3 with 1 run scored, 2 doubles, 1 RBI and 1 walk.
  • Cameron Bishop gave up 1 run on 4 hits with 2 walks, 4 strikeouts and 1 wild pitch thrown over 5.0 innings pitched.  He did not factor into the decision.

DELMARVA SHOREBIRDS (71-31) WON GAME 1 4-0 AND WON GAME 2 2-0 OVER GREENVILLE – A (LOW)

GAME 1

  • Adam Hall went 2 for 3 with 1 run scored and 1 double.
  • Hector Guance allowed 1 hit while walking 3 and striking out 5 over 5.0 scoreless innings pitched.  His record stands at 8-3 with the win.

GAME 2

  • JC Encarnacion went 1 for 3 with 1 run scored, 1 double and 1 strikeout.
  • Nick Vespi walked 1 and struck out 2 over 2.0 scoreless and hitless innings of relief pitched.  He was credited with the win and is now 6-5 on the season.

ABERDEEN IRONBIRDS (24-15) WON 4-1 OVER LOWELL – A (SHORT)

  • Toby Welk went 2 for 3 with 1 run scored, 1 homerun, 2 RBI and 1 walk.
  • Leonardo Rodriguez gave up 1 run on 2 hits while walking 2, striking out 7 and hitting 1 batter over 6.0 innings pitched.  With the win he is 1-2 on the season.

GULF COAST ORIOLES (17-7) WON 9-5 AT THE GCL TWINS – ROOKIE

  • Mason Janvrin went 3 for 5 with 1 run scored, 1 RBI and was caught stealing.
  • Dillon McCollough gave up no runs and 2 hits while walking 2, striking out 1 and throwing 1 wild pitch over 2.0 innings of relief pitched.  The loss was his first; he is now 1-2 on the year.
