Ryan Wilson gave up 1 hit with 3 walks and 5 strikeouts over 7.0 scoreless innings pitched in Delmarva’s Game 2 win at Hagerstown.  With the win his record improved to 6-4.  He is the Orioles Hangout MiLB Player of the Day.

NORFOLK TIDES (54-76) LOST GAME 1 5-3 AND WON GAME 2 8-2 AT CHARLOTTE – AAA

GAME 1

  • Austin Wynns went 2 for 3 with 1 run scored and 1 double.
  • Keegan Akin gave up 3 runs on 3 hits with 7 walks, 8 strikeouts and 1 wild pitch thrown over 5.2 innings pitched.   He recorded his 7th loss.

GAME 2

  • Ryan Mountcastle went 2 for 3 with 3 runs scored, 1 homerun, 3 RBI, 1 walk and 1 strikeout.
  • Chandler Shepherd gave up 2 runs on 3 hits with 2 walks, 7 strikeouts and 1 homerun allowed over 7.0 innings pitched.  The win was his 2nd of the season for the Tides.

BOWIE BAYSOX (72-59) WON 3-2 OVER ALTOONA – AA

  • Carlos Perez went 1 for 3 with 1 run scored, 1 homerun, 3 RBI, 1 walk and 1 strikeout.
  • Michael Baumann gave up 2 runs (1 earned) on 4 hits while walking 2, striking out 4, allowing 1 homerun and throwing 1 wild pitch over 6.0 innings pitched.  His record in Bowie improved to 5-2 with the win.   

FREDERICK KEYS (51-76) WON GAME 1 4-3 AND LOST GAME 2 1-0 AT FAYETTEVILLE – A (ADV.)

  • Brenan Hanifee gave up 3 runs on 5 hits with 3 walks, 6 strikeouts and 1 hit batter over 5.0 innings pitched.  The win was his 5th.

GAME 2

  • Jean Carrillo went 1 for 3.
  • Tim Naughton gave up 1 run while walking 3 and striking out 1 over 0.1 inning of relief pitched.  The loss was his 1st for Frederick.

DELMARVA SHOREBIRDS (86-43) LOST GAME 1 5-1 AND WON GAME 2 1-0 IN 8 INNINGS AT HAGERSTOWN – A (LOW)

  • Toby Welk went 1 for 3 with 1 RBI
  • Grayson Rodriguez gave up 4 runs on 6 hits with 2 walks, 5 strikeouts, 1 homerun allowed and 1 wild pitch thrown over 4.2 innings pitched.  He is now 9-4 with the loss.

GAME 2

  • Cody Roberts went 1 for 3 with 1 RBI.
  • Ruben Garcia gave up 1 hit with 1 walk and 2 strikeouts over 1.0 inning of relief pitched.  He was credited with his 8th save.

ABERDEEN IRONBIRDS (37-29) LOST 1-0 AT STATEN ISLAND – A (SHORT)

  • Mason Janvrin went 1 for 4 with 1 strikeout and was caught stealing.
  • Jordan Kipper gave up 1 unearned run on 2 hits with 2 strikeouts over 2.0 innings of relief pitched.   The loss was his 1st.

GULF COAST ORIOLES (36-14) WON GAME 1 7-6 IN 9 INNINGS AND WON GAME 2 5-4 IN 8 INNINGS OVER THE GCL PIRATES – ROOKIE

GAME 1

  • Davis Tavarez went 3 for 4 with 1 run scored and 1 RBI.
  • Jose Alejandro gave up 1 unearned run and struck out 3 over 2.2 innings of relief pitched.  He earned the win, his 3rd.

GAME 2

  • Harris Yett went 2 for 4 with 1 double and 3 RBI.
  • Manuel Daza gave up 1 unearned run on 5 hits with 4 strikeouts over 5.0 innings of relief pitched.  He earned his second win without a loss.
