Ofelky Peralta gave up 4 hits while walking 3 and striking out 6 over 6.0 scoreless innings pitched.  His quality start in the Keys shutout of Down East earned him a second win on the season.  He is the Orioles Hangout MiLB Player of the Day.

NORFOLK TIDES (56-78) LOST 14-8 AT GWINNETT – AAA

  • Ryan Mountcastle went 2 for 5 with 2 runs scored, 2 doubles, 1 RBI and 1 strikeout.
  • Ty Blach gave up 8 runs on 13 hits with 1 strikeout and 1 homerun allowed over 3.0 innings pitched.   The loss was his first for Norfolk.

BOWIE BAYSOX (74-61) LOST 2-1 AT READING – AA

  • Brett Cumberland went 1 for 1 with 1 run scored, 1 walk and was hit by a pitch.
  • Alex Wells gave up 2 runs (1 earned) on 4 hits while walking 1, striking out 4 and allowing 1 homerun over 6.0 innings pitched.  His record fell to 8-5 with the loss.   

FREDERICK KEYS (53-78) WON 4-0 AT DOWN EAST – A (ADV.)

  • JC Escarra went 3 for 3 with 1 run scored, 1 homerun, 3 RBI and 1 walk.
  • Tyler Joyner struck out 3 over 2.0 no-hit innings pitched.

DELMARVA SHOREBIRDS (87-46) LOST 1-0 AT LAKEWOOD – A (LOW)

  • Toby Welk went 1 for 3 with 2 strikeouts.
  • Drew Rom walked 1 and struck out 6 over 5.0 scoreless and hitless innings pitched.  He did not factor into the decision.

ABERDEEN IRONBIRDS (39-31) LOST 9-8 TO BROOKLYN – A (SHORT)

  • Jaylen Ferguson went 3 for 5 with 2 runs scored, 1 double, 1 homerun, 4 RBI and 2 strikeouts.
  • Jake Lyons gave up 6 runs on 7 hits with 1 walk and 5 strikeouts over 2.2 innings pitched.  He is now 2-5 with the loss.

GULF COAST ORIOLES (38-15) WON GAME 1 13-0 AND LOST GAME 2 7-2 WITH THE GCL RAYS – ROOKIE

  • Harris Yett went 3 for 4 with 3 runs scored, 1 double, 1 homerun, 2 RBI, 1 walk and 1 strikeout.
  • Dillon McCollough pitched 2.0 no-hit innings of relief.  He earned his second win of the season.
