The Miami Marlin, who had been idle for 8 days due to Covid-19, shutout the Orioles and ended their three-game winning streak.

John Means was solid for 4.2 innings; his night ended after he gave up a homerun to Francisco Cervelli. The game was a pitcher’s duel between Means and Marlins starter, Pablo Lopez for five innings.

Austin Hays was the only Oriole to solve Miami pitching as he went 2 for 3 with a stolen base. Anthony Santander doubled in the sixth inning to account for the Orioles third hit.

As a team, the Orioles struck out 11 times in the game.
