Chris Davis missed a home run by two inches and had to settle for a double with Wieters on. Reynolds struck out.
The Mariners scored a run with small ball.
Jim Thomes got his first Orioles hit with two out. Wieters walked again. Davis hit one about 125 further. Earl must have had a talk with these guys.
3-1 Orioles lead.
A soft single and a two baser off the glove of Pearce put the tying runs in scoring position. With one out, Jason Hammel gets a grounder himself. Olivo down two quick stikes with two outs. K. No damage.
The seventh inning got awful. A single. A strik em out throw em out. Only Andino forgot to catch the ball that had the runner by five feet. Another single. Matt Wieters catches a popup while falling out of the field, has the presence of mind to get the ball back in the playing field to save the run momentarily. A walk to Ichiro loads the bases. Hammel at 112 pitches. Strike one. A double scores three. Patton in to record the final out.
