The Orioles manufactured a run early.
Chris Davis hit a two run bomb.
Steve gave up a two run homer to Saltalamachia and was hit with a line drive on his foot.
The next inning he was mostly inefective and replaced by Tommy Hunter with no outs and runners first and third. After recording an out, what would have been the second out and sacrifice fly turned into a bungled dropped ball between Jones and Davis. Big Game Hunter got
of the mess with a brilliant double play, just one of the defensive gems that Machado, Reynolds and Hunter himself made.
With the score tied, Manny Machado hit a laser into the first row of the left field seats. The Bullpen of Hunter, Matusz, O'Day and Johnson did the rest, with a little help from their friends.
Endy Chavez, a ninth inning defensive replacement for Davis, made perhaps the biggest play of the game with a diving catch of the second out of Johnson's 49th save.

    The magic number is 2
