Ryan Mountcastle stays hot with the bat

Ryan Mountcastle went 3-for-3 with two home runs and double while driving in three runs. to be our minor league player of the night.

(5-8) Tides (AAA) Lost 3-0 to Syrucuse

  • Mike Wright allowed three runs over six innings of work to lower his ERA to 6,62 on the season.
  • Left handed reliever Tim Berry tossed two scoreless innings and has yet to be scored upon since returning to the Orioles organization.
  • David Washington went 2-for-3

(9-6) Baysox [AA] Won 8-2 over Harrisburg

  • From the leadoff spot, DJ Stewart went 3-for-5 with a homer (3) and 3 RBi to raise his season average to .191. He also stole his first base of the year.
  • Austin Wynns stayed red hot going 2-for-4 with a double and is now batting .486.
  • Aderlin Rodriguez collected two doubles (5) in his 3-for-5 night and is now batting .393.
  • Tanner Scott tossed three shutout innings allowing just one hit and two walks while striking out six.

(6-9) Keys [A+] swept 10-3 and 7-6 by Salem

  • Mountcastle provided all the offense in the 10-3 loss with his 3-for-3 two homer performance.
  • Austin Hays went 3-for-7 over both games and is now slashing .349/.379/.556/.934 in his first 15 games in the Carolina League.
  • Ofelky Peralta allowed five runs on six hits and two walks over just 3.1 innings. He hit two batters, balked, and threw just 46 strikes in 80 pitches.

(8-8) Shorebirds [A] won 4-1 over Hagerstown

  • Jake Ring continues his tear through Sally League with a 2-for-4 game that included a homer (3) and double. He’s now slashing .411/.468/.839/1.307 through his first 14 Sally League games.
