    Orioles beat Red Sox 7-3

    Game 1 of today's split squad action between the Orioles and Red Sox got under way at 1 ET. The Orioles won 7-3.

    Here are the game highlights:

    Bud Norris got the start and pitched three scoreless innings, allowing just two hits while striking out four.

    Tommy Hunter pitched the 4th, allowing a solo HR to Will Middlebrooks, the Red Sox projected third baseman, and struck out Travis Shaw.

    Darren O'Day pitched a scoreless 5th with a strikeout, showing off that new changeup of his.

    Prospects Eduardo Rodriguez and Tim Berry pitched the final four innings, two innings a piece.

    E-Rod showed off some quality stuff, K'ing four over two innings. He also allowed three hits, including a two run homer to Bryce Brentz, showing inconsistent command as well.

    Tim Berry looked sharp, working two perfect innings with two strikeouts to close out the game.

    On offense Matt Wieters recorded the only multi-hit game, going 2-for-3.

    Nick Markakis hit yet another double in the 3rd inning as did J.J Hardy.

    Alex Gonzalez hit a two-run "gonzo" in the 6th inning.
