    Minor League Game Summaries 5/2

    NORFOLK (9-18)


    Tides won 10-to-0

    • Eddie Gamboa had an outstanding outing (7 IP, 6 H, 0 ER, BB, 6 K) and picked up the win.
    • Brett Wallace went 2-for-5 and smacked a two-run homer in the 1st.
    • Fun Note: Brothers Corban and Caleb Joseph played against each other in this game. Caleb went 1-for-4 with a double while Corban finsihed 1-for-3 for the Yankees AAA affiliate.
    • Ivan De Jesus finshed 2-for-4 with two doubles and three RBI.

    BOWIE (14-13)

    Baysox won 6-to-5

    • Tim Berry proved hittable tonight (6 IP, 7 H, 4 ER, HR, BB, 5 K) but managed to give the Baysox six innings of work and did not factor into the decision.
    • Dariel Alvarez hit a two-run bomb in the 7th and finished 2-for-4 in the cleanup spot.
    • Buck Britton went 2-for-3 in the leadoff spot and is hiting .350 on the year.
    • Brian Ward finished 2-for-3 with a double and two runs scored.

    Keys won 6-to-4

    • Branden Kline had a decent outing (5.1 IP, 7 H, ER, 2 BB, 4 K) and picked up the win.
    • Glynn Davis went 2-for-5 in the leadoff spot and drove in two.
    • Creede Simpson hit a solo home run in the 2nd, his third home run of the year.
    • Adrian Marin went 2-for-4 and scored two runs.

    Shorebirds won 4-to-3

    • Sebastian Vader had a solid outing (7 IP, 6 H, 3 ER, 0 BB, 6 K) and picked u p the win.
    • Jimmy Yacabonis struck out the side in the 9th for his seventh save. He still as yet to allow an earned run on the season.
    • Josh Hart had a nice 3-for-3 game at the plate and swiped his 4th base.
    • Drew Dosch and Trey Mancini batted 3rd and 4th in the order and both finsihed 2-for-4.
