    Tommy Hunter Blows Ubaldo's Masterpiece; Orioles Lose 4-to-1

    Overview

    Ubaldo Jimenez held the hard hitting Tigers scoreless through seven innings. Darren O'Day made Adam Jones' first inning solo hold up to get to Tommy Hunter. Tommy gave up a single, Walke and two homers to lose the game on Cruz tee shirt night at Camden Yards almost 30 thousand faithful saw Tommy Hunter come within a strike of closing the game out. It may be the last time.

    Starting Pitching

    Ubaldo Jimenez has allowed one run in May. He pitched a wondeful seven innings with very little drama.

    Relief Pitching

    Darren O'Day was great. Preston Guilmet was great. Tommy Hunter was horible.

    Hitting

    Adam Jones hit a first inning line drive homer to left field. Nelson Cruz hit a second inning ground rule double, but was stranded. Caleb Joseph got his first major league hit.

    Defensive Highlights/ Lowlights

    J.J. Hardy was graet as usual. Caleb Joseph threw out three baserunners, but one was over turned. In the ninth.

    Key Moments In The Game

    Tommy Hunter allowed a single againt the shift to lead off the ninth inning. Tommy Hunter walked Torii Hunter with two out and two strikes. Tommy Hunter allowed home runs to Miguel Cabrera and Victor Martinez.

     

    Other Notes/ Musings

    The stolen base by Rajai Davis on the overturned out call and the walk to Torii Hunter who never walks brought Miguel Cabrea to the plate and allowed him to beat the Orioles.
