Ubadldo Jimenez had problem with his control once again. In the third inning, the 7-8-9 hitters all walked before an out was recorded. He got an out at home, game up what was thought to be a grand slam but was ultimately ruled a double, scoring two runs and then loaded the bases again for the actual grand slam we all knew was coming.He lasted two and a third innings.

Brad Brach relieved Ubaldo and allowed four runs of his own. He pitched two full innings.
T.J. McFarland was the pitching star. He went a full four and two thirds innings allowing four hits, a run, a walk, and recorded four strikeouts.
Steve Pearce, who DH'd, got two hits including a double. Four othere singles were the extent of the Orioles offense. The lone run scored on a bases loaded walk.
Fernando Abad threw inside twice to third baseman Manny Machado in the eighth. Both pitched appeared thrown at his surgically repaired knee. Machado avoided both, but after the second pitch his bat flew out of his hands just beyond third base. It did not appear accidental. They were both ejected.
