HHP: Notable performances for the Tides AAA

    by 25 Nuggets

Notable performances for the Tides as of today, this year:

Jason Pridie of all people is leading the team in OPS with a .908 in 124 AB. He has 6 HRs, 71 total bases and is errorless in CF so far.
Yamaico Navarro is being extremely disciplined at the plate, going .317/.405/.462 in 104 AB for a second-best .866 OPS and 3 SB to boot. Speaking of booting, he also has 5 errors so far this season, tied for worst on the club.
Russ Canzler is doing his thing, with 5 HRs, a .394 OBP and a third-best .858 OPS. He continues to be a viable call-up option.

Danny Valencia, Travis Ishikawa and L.J. Hoes are also having a nice start to the season.

    - We've already seen the Freddy Garcia call-up after going 4-0 with a 2.67 ERA and 0.98 WHIP. He has too much veteranosity for AAA.
Jair Jurrjens is putting it together after a horrible spring and you've got to figure he'll get a shot at the rotation at some point this season. He is 4-1 and leading the team in IP (44.2 in 7 starts, over 6 IP a start) with a 2.62 ERA and 1.16 WHIP.
    - Who is Jairo Asencio? 'Cause he leads the team in game appearances (13) with a 1.93 ERA and a miniscule 0.57 WHIP.

Alex Burnett, Daniel Schlereth, and Josh Stinson are also doing well for the team.
