Players begin to report to camp.
The 2017 Season has officially started with the Pitchers and Catchers reporting to Ed Smith Stadium in Sarasota Florida. Spring has sprung.
Many position players have been working out there and have reported as well. J.J. Hardy, David Washington, Joey Rickard, Trey Mancini, Hyun Soo Kim, Ryan Flaherty, Christian Walker, and Anthony Santander are among the early arrivals.
Jonathan Schoop will leave for Netherlands WBC squad on Feb. 28, Manny Machado and Welington Castillo departing for the Dominican team on March 5 and Adam Jones and Mychal Givens will leave for team USA on March 6.
Physicals are occuring so that on field activities can start tomorrow. Doc Shorebird is credentialed to the camp to give us updated reports and photos throughout spring training
