Orioles Blanked By Rays 2-0

Wade Miley was effectively wild tonight, tossing a quality start against the Rays despite issuing six walks. Miley allowed two runs on four hits while striking out eight over 7 innings of work. Unfortunately, his run support was non-existent tonight against hodge-podge of Rays pitchers the Oriole bats faced so he took the loss. Never-the-less, Miley is the Hangout Player of the Game.

Offense

  • Not much to talk about here. The bats collected just two hits all night against the Rays collection of relievers and spot starter Austin Pruitt.

Relief

  • Donnie Hart picked up just one out in the 8th and was removed after allowing a single and a walk.
  • Darren O’Day took over and worked out of the jam in the 8th and pitched a scoreless 9th as well.
