A double in the bottom of the eighth inning felled Vidal Nuno and the offensively challenged Orioles. The Yankees and the Red Sox also lost so the Os stay at the top of the A.L. East race.

Starting Pitcher

Dylan Bundy pitched six innings of two run baseball. His velocity was down again, as had been predicted if he were to use the cutter/slider more. His change-up was his out pitch. Dylan had a hard time getting early results and had the Royals flicking and fouling all evening. Bundy struck out eight and walked only one.

Relief Pitching

Mychal Givens handled a seventh inning cleanly.

Vidal Nuno suffered the loss giving up consecutive double in the eighth.

Hitting

American Hero Danny Duffy silenced the Orioles bats, with all rallies being the two out kind. Caleb Joseph drove in the first one and Duffy’s wild pitch scored the second. Two triples by J.J. Hardy and Caleb Joseph were the result of Jorge Solar’s inept play in right field.

Fielding

Not fielding, but Bobby Dickerson sent Mark Trumbo who was out by 17 feet.

Also, Hyun Soo Kim does not play.
