Gerrion Grim went 3-for-4, smacked two home runs and drove in six runs for the Shorebirds tonight. He’s the Orioles Hangout MiLB player of the night.

(26-35) Tides [AAA] Lost 5 to 2

  • Jayson Aquino allowed five runs on six hits and two walks in five and third innings to raise his season ERA to 5.08. He did strike out eight though
  • Craig Gentry  went 2-for-4 with his first AAA home run of the season
  • Chance Sisco raised his season average to .265 with a 2-for-3 with a BB performance

(30-30) Baysox [AA] Lost 2 to 1

  • Cedric Mullins hit his 6th home run of the season and raised his average to .342. He also drew a walk.
  • 1B Aderlin Rodriguez stays red hot going 3-for-4. He’s an amazing 14-for his last-21 (.667) with 3 home runs and 13 runs batted in during this five game stretch. That’s white hot and his season average is now .320.
  • Lucas Long was back in the rotation and tossed seven innings, allowing just one run on three hits and walk while striking out five. He has a 1.69 ERA this season at Bowie and is quickly getting himself on the prospect scene.
  • Welington Castillo  went 0-for-3 in his rehab appearance

(29-31) Keys [A+] Lost 4 to 3

  • Ryan Mountcastle went 2-for-3 with a walk and two runs scored and is batting .322 now.
  • Cristian Alvarado lowered his season ERA to 7.07 after allowing just two runs over six innings of work. It was his second solid start in a row.

(26-33) Shorebirds [A] Won 10 to 8

  • The 23-year old Grim now has 11 homers on the year to lead the team.
  • Left-hander Zach Muckenhirn allowed five runs on eight hits over just five and two-third innings. He did strike out eight but has now allowed a staggering 83 hits in just 65 innings of work
  • Frank Crinella drove in three runs on a 2-for-4 with a double night.
