That’s back-to-back double digit scoring nights for the offense now. There were many contributors to that effort tonight, but we will single out Adam Jones as the Hangout Player of the Night. Jones finished 3-for-5 with three run scored and 2 RBI. He crushed his 16th home run of the season to lead off the game and the Orioles never looked back from there.

Starting Pitching

  • Kevin Gausman had a tremendous turnaround start tonight following an absolute dud last Friday against the Cubs. The Orioles spotted him an early lead and he never looked back, allowing just one run in the 5th inning on a home run to Joey Gallo. Final Line: 6 IP, 4 H, ER, 2 BB, 8 K, Win.

Relief Pitching

  • Mychal Givens worked a perfect 7th, lowering his ERA to 2.05 in the process.
  • Donnie Hart finished the game, working the final two innings. He allowed a run on four hits and struck out two.

Hitting

  • Trey Mancini led the charge in the Orioles 7-run outburst in the 7th with a bases clearing triple.
  • Jonathan Schoop went 3-for-4 and drove in three. He’s now batting an even .300 on the season.
  • Caleb Joseph went 2-for-4 and scored a run.
