Birds Soar 7-to-2

Mancini with a nice night was about all that you can say was good last night.

Starting Pitching
Wade Miley had one of his finest starts as an Oriole pitching seven full innings and allowing but three hits and one unearned run. He walked three and struck out seven.

Darren O’Day continues to struggle. He allowed a run on two hits and a walk in an inning of work.
Richard Bleier allowed two hits in a third of an inning.
Brad Brach walked and struck out a batter.
Zach Britton, therefore, qualified for the one out save. His 10th. And 59th consecutive.

Tim Beckham
went 2-for-5 with a double. And another Triple. Beckham extended his Orioles hitting streak to 10 games
Adam Jones, Seth Smith, Mark Trumbo and Trey Mancini all homered.
And then Trey did again. Mancini was 3-for-4 with a double as well.

Mancini and Beckman both had throwing errors.

Michael Williams has been an Orioles fan since the sixties when his family moved from Reading Pa to York Pa. Also, the Phillies and 1964. His Grandfather got the Chef Boyardee box seats and Mike was hooked. Brooks Robinson calls him not a fan, but a friend. He has been a member of the Orioles Hangout since early in the New Millennium and Managing Editor since 2011. Or so it seems. He lives in Harrisburg PA, down by the river. Not currently in a van.
