- The Orioles jumped out to an early 5-2 lead in this one but Jeremy Hellickson folded in the 5th. After serving up a two-run blast to Kendrys Morales in the 3rd, Hellickson got tagged for five more runs in the 5th, leaving the game with two outs in the inning. He would take the loss. Final Line: 4.2 IP, 7 H, 7 ER, 4 BB, 2 K, Loss.
Relief
- Richard Bleier pitched an inning and allowed a run.
- Mychal Givens served up two home runs to Kendry Morales who had three total on the night. He was a one man wrecking crew to say the least.
- Darren O’Day retired the side with two strikeouts.
Hitting
- Tim Beckham finished his outstanding month of August with a 3-for-5 day at the plate.
- Manny Machado, Jonathan Schoop, Mark Trumbo, and Seth Smith all had two hit games.
- Chris Davis hit his 22nd home run.
