Five Straight Losses, Os Fall 3-to-2

Richard Passwater

In a “get out of town” day game, the Orioles scored only two runs. It was an early lead. They could not hold the line and the Astros punched through late to beat the Orioles who are winless for the season except for opening day.

Player of Game:
– Jonathan Schoop
He went 3-for-4 with a double and a walk.

Starting Pitching:
Dylan Bundy threw 98 pitches and allowed five hits, one earned run and struck out eight. Dylan walked two. His ERA for the season is down to .069.

Highlighted defensive plays
Manny Machado did not catch a ball that was thrown by Anthony Santander from 130 feet away. It seemed like a sloppy attempt to snag it. Santander was charged with an error that allowed a runner to move up and score on a bunt. But the ball ticked off Manny’s glove and he had to chase it across the infield.

On to a four-game series with the Yankees. In New York. In the snow.
