NORFOLK TIDES (28-48) LOST 8-4 TO GWINNETT – AAA

  • Cedric Mullins went 2 for 4 with 1 double, 2 RBI and was hit by a pitch.
  • Keegan Akin gave up 3 runs on 6 hits with 4 walks and 3 strikeouts over 5.0 innings pitched.  He did not factor into the final decision.

BOWIE BAYSOX (35-40) WON 7-2 OVER HARTFORD – AA

  • Yusniel Diaz went 1 for 4 with 1 run scored, 1 homerun, 3 RBI and 1 strikeout.
  • Zac Lowther gave up 2 runs on 4 hits with 3 walks and 3 strikeouts over 6.0 innings pitched.  His record improved to 8-4 with the win.

FREDERICK KEYS (31-44) WON 13-6 AT LYNCHBURG – A (ADV.)

  • JC Escarra went 4 for 5 with 2 runs scored, 1 double, 1 RBI and 1 strikeout.
  • DL Hall gave up 3 runs on 3 hits with 6 walks and 3 strikeouts over 4.0 innings pitched.  He did not factor into the decision.

DELMARVA SHOREBIRDS (53-22) WON 5-0 OVER LAKEWOOD – A (LOW)

  • Robert Neustrom went 3 for 4 with 2 runs scored, 1 double, 1 homerun and 2 RBI.
  • Grayson Rodriguez pitched 5.0 scoreless innings and gave up 1 hit with no walks and 6 strikeouts.  He improved to 7-1 on the season. He threw 68 pitches.

ABERDEEN IRONBIRDS (5-6) LOST 7-6 TO BROOKLYN – A (SHORT)

  • Luke Ringhofer went 3 for 3 with 2 runs scored and 1 walk.
  • Ryan Conroy gave up 4 runs, 1 earned, on 7 hits with no walks and 2 strikeouts over 3.0 innings pitched.  He took the loss, evening his record at 1-1.
  • Johnny Rizer homered off Noah Syndergaard.
  • Toby Welk, last of DIII, singled.

Gulf Coast League Orioles (2-0) Beat Atlanta 9-4

  • D.J. Stewart homered on rehab.
  • Shayne Fontana went 2-3 with a walk. He tripled.
  • J.J. Montgomery walked four and struck out five allowing no runs in two and a third innings.
