Brenan Hanifee gave up 2 runs on 4 hits while walking 3 and hitting 1 batter over 6.0 innings of relief pitched in Frederick’s win over Myrtle Beach.  He was credited with the win and is now 7-9 on the season.  He is the Orioles Hangout MiLB Player of the Day.

NORFOLK TIDES (39-62) LOST 16-3 AT ROCHESTER – AAA

  • Christopher Bostick went 1 for 3 with 1 run scored, 1 homerun, 2 RBI and 1 walk.
  • Tyler Herb gave up 7 runs on 10 hits and allowed 2 homeruns over 3.0 innings pitched.  He fell to 4-8 on the year with the loss.

BOWIE BAYSOX (55-45) POSTPONED AT RICHMOND – AA

FREDERICK KEYS (40-60) WON 3-2 OVER MYRTLE BEACH – A (ADV.)

  • Zach Jarrett went 1 for 4 with 2 RBI and 1 strikeout.
  • Diogenes Almengo struck out 1 over 1.0 inning of relief pitched.  He was credited with his 8th save of the season.

DELMARVA SHOREBIRDS (69-31) POSTPONED WITH GREENVILLE – A (LOW)

ABERDEEN IRONBIRDS (23-15) WON 9-0 OVER LOWELL – A (SHORT)

  • Johnny Rizer went 2 for 5 with 1 run scored, 1 double, 1 homerun, 3 RBI and 1 strikeout.
  • Houston Roth gave up 1 hit while striking out 4 over 3.1 innings of relief pitched.  With the win he is 2-0 on the season.

GULF COAST ORIOLES (16-7) LOST GAME 1 5-1 AND WON GAME 2 4-1 OVER GCL BRAVES – ROOKIE

GAME 1

  • Mason Janvrin went 3 for 4 with 2 stolen bases.
  • Jonathan Pendergast gave up 5 unearned runs on 4 hits with 1 walk and 2 strikeouts over 1.2 innings of relief pitched.  The loss was his first.

GAME 2

  • Trevor Putzig went 2 for 4 with 1 run scored, 1 RBI and 1 strikeout.
  • Moises Nolasco struck out 3 over 3.0 no-hit, no-run innings of relief pitched.  He is now 3-0 on the season with the win.
