Zac Lowther gave up 1 run on 5 hits with 1 walk, 6 strikeouts and 1 homerun allowed over 6.0 innings pitched in Bowie’s win over Altoona.  The win was his 13th of the season; he is the 6th pitcher to do so in Baysox history.  He is the Orioles Hangout MiLB Player of the Day.

NORFOLK TIDES (53-75) LOST 8-7 TO GWINNETT – AAA

  • Austin Hays went 2 for 5 with 2 runs scored, 1 homerun, 2 RBI, 2 strikeouts and 1 stolen base.
  • Dean Kremer gave up 3 runs on 5 hits with 1 walk, 5 strikeouts and 1 wild pitch thrown over 5.0 innings pitched.  He did not factor into the decision.

BOWIE BAYSOX (71-58) WON 9-2 OVER ALTOONA – AA

  • Anderson Feliz went 4 for 5 with 1 run scored, 2 doubles, 4 RBI and 1 strikeout.
  • Jay Flaa gave up 2 hits while striking out 4 and hitting 1 batter over 2.0 scoreless inning of relief pitched.

DELMARVA SHOREBIRDS (85-42) LOST 11-3 TO GREENSBORO – A (LOW)

  • Johnny Rizer went 3 for 3 with 1 run scored.
  • Drew Rom gave up 7 runs on 10 hits with 3 walks, 4 strikeouts and 1 hit batter over 3.2 innings pitched.  With the loss he falls to 6-3.

ABERDEEN IRONBIRDS (36-28) WON 4-1 AT STATEN ISLAND – A (SHORT)

  • Yusniel Diaz went 1 for 3 with 1 double.
  • Kevin Magee gave up 1 run on 3 hits with 10 strikeouts and 1 homerun allowed over 5.0 innings pitched.  He was credited with the win, his fifth.

GULF COAST ORIOLES (33-13) WON 13-3 OVER THE GCL TWINS – ROOKIE

  • Edidson Rojas went 3 for 4 with 3 runs scored, 1 double, 1 RBI, 1 walk and 1 strikeout.
  • Christopher Marte gave up 1 run on 1 hit with 2 strikeouts and 1 homerun allowed over 3.0 innings of relief pitched.  He earned the win, his first of the year.
