A huge comeback win became a back and forth extra inning struggle and then a powerful defeat in 12 innings by the worst team in baseball, the Detroit Tigers.

Gabriel Ynoa allowed only two runs in four innings. But that is only the beginning.

The Orioles used nine relievers. The ones who did poorly were Mychal Givens who blew a save. Paul Fry who took the loss, and Ryan Eades who gave up a game tying walk and then a grand slam. He was given a blown save too.

Trey Mancini, Renato Nunez, and Austin Hays each had two hits. Trey Mancini sent the game to the ninth with a lead. He hit a three run home run. Hays doubled.
