John Means lead the Orioles to victory in their penultimate game of the 2019 championship season. He pitched five innings, earning the win, and finished his rookie season with a 3.60 ERA. Mean allowed three runs over five hits and two walks striking out only two. His twelve victories paced the staff.

Shawn Armstrong allowed the fourth run but Tanner Scott, Brendan Kline, Richard Bleier, and Dillon Tate permitted the Bostonians to no joy.

Richie Martin homered and doubled, Trey Mancini homered and singled, and D.J. Stewart homered and walked.

Jonathan Villar doubled and singled and stole his 40th base.

Renato Nunez homered and Chris Davis pulled his batting average over .178.
