In an effort to add some depth to its roster, the Orioles have swapped 25-year-old C Chance Sisco, 33-year-old minor league LHP Richard Bleier, 25-year-old minor league RHP Travis Lakins and 23-year-old minor league LHP Dillon McCollough to the Cincinnati Reds for 24-year-old minor league RHP Vladimir Gutierrez, 26-year-old minor league RF Aristides Aquino, 25-year-old minor league RHP Lucas Sims and 27-year-old minor league RHP Jose De Leon. The Orioles GM Mike Elias told reporters, “We saw a chance to upgrade our ball club and took it.”

For the year Sisco is hitting .188 with 1 home run. His stats include 2 runs batted in and 4 runs scored. Once considered the Orioles catcher of the future, his defensive limitations and a bat that has really not developed at the major league level, along with top prospect Adley Rutschman made him expendable.

Aquino was slashing .300/.402/.600/1.002 in AAA after mashing 19 home runs for the Reds last year. He will report directly to the Orioles and be placed on the 26-man roster.
