Quick Scouting Report Update: The Orioles 2nd round pick out of Tulane University who signed for slot ($1,906,800), Haskins is guy the scouts love when it comes to metrics. Despite an unorthodox swing, he’s a high exit velocity guy that generates productive bat to ball contact consistently. Some believe his upside is 20 homer power wise so if his power develops, his hit tool, speed, and plus defensive abilities in center field should make him at worse a 4th outfielder, but with a chance to be a solid major league average CFer.
Haskin has some real upside due to his tools, but with just a shortened Junior year and no minor league season, his grades are preliminary at best.
