Another road game, another game lost. Words cannot explain what is happening with the Orioles. The fact is that they lost to the Cleveland Indians 8-7 on Wednesday night. The current losing streak is now seven games and the road-game losing streak is a franchise record 18 games.

In a scene out of the Bad News Bears, the Orioles allowed Jose Ramirez to reach third on a third inning 2 RBI single after he had been caught in a rundown. The defense failed to tag him out and he safely reached an uncovered second base. Ramirez then went to third when he saw that base was not covered. After all was said and done, the Indians plated 5 runs in the inning.

The Orioles did fight back only to come up short in the end.

Ryan Mountcastle did all he could to reverse the losing by going 3 for 5 with a homerun, 1 run scored and 4 RBI.

Trey Mancini went 3 for 5 with a double and 3 runs scored. Can you say All-Star?

Freddy Galvis and Maikel Franco had 2 hits and 1 RBI each.

Starter Keegan Akin had an up and down game, bouncing back from the chaotic third inning with two 3-up, 3-down innings. He finished with the loss and a line of 8 runs allowed on 8 hits with 3 walks, 7 strikeouts and a homerun surrendered to Ramirez over 5.2 innings of work.

2021 Record: 22-45
