Most Likely Future Role: 4th outfielder
Ceiling: 2nd Division starting outfielder

What we know: Young, tall, lanky outfielder that found a knack for getting the barrel to the ball in his first season in the states. Part of the Givens trade, Deson is 6-foot-3 and listed at 155 pounds though he looked heavier in his short time in Delmarva. Put up an impressive 24.2% line drive rate and reportedly had good EVs. More of a line drive hitter , he doesn’t hit the ball much in the air and needs to add strength. With good bat speed and a good frame, the expectations is that he could develop average power. Collected hits in four of his six games during his late season promotion.

Defensively he is solid with an above average arm. He has plus speed and was a good base stealer.

What we don’t know: He’s very young and projectionable, but we don’t know how he’ll handle experienced pitching. When adds some muscle, will his power develop?

What we think: Just a nice projectionable outfielder with a long way to go. How his power develops will determine his ceiling.
